The online courses by GGZ Ecademy are available through our online platform. To get access to the English course “making sense of hearing voices” you will have to make an account, select the free learning environment and add the course to your account. 

The instructions below will help you navigate these steps on our Dutch platform.

STEP 1: Create your account

  1. Go to: https://portaal.ggzecademy.nl/register/organisation/ECL
  2. Enter your e-mail address on the righthand side (‘Account aanmaken’)
  3. Click the button ‘Account aanmaken’.
  4. Complete the form.

1. Gegevens: Fill in the following:

VoornaamFirst name
TussenvoegselsSurname Prefix (if applicable)
AchternaamSurname
GeboortedatumDate of Birth

Click ‘Volgende’.

2. Kwaliteitsregister
Select ‘Nee’, click ‘Volgende’.  

3. Account: Check/fill in the following:

E-mailadresE-mail address
WachtwoordPassword
Extra e-mailadresExtra e-mail address (if applicable)

Check the checkbox to agree with the terms and conditions.
Click ‘Account aanmaken’. 

You will receive an e-mail with an activation code. Enter this code in the ‘Account aangemaakt!’ screen and click ‘Activeer account’. If you don’t see  the e-mail, be sure to check your spam folder. 

STEP 2: Getting access to the free learning environment

  1. You will now see the GGZ Ecademy Portaal. If not, log in at: https://portaal.ggzecademy.nl
  2. Click ‘Aanmelden’, then ‘Toevoegen’
     
  3. Now Click ‘Starten’ under ‘GGZ Ecademy – Open Aanbod’
           You are now logged into the free learning environment. It will load in a new tab.

STEP 3: Getting access to the course

  1. Click ‘Catalogus’ In the top bar (next to ‘Home’) to view all available courses.
    (Note: Ignore the input field ‘Toeganscode invoeren’.)
  2. Type ‘hearing voices’ into the search bar and click the search icon. Then, click ‘Toevoegen’ under the course.

The course will now start. You can exit at any point and return to it later; your progress will be saved. To continue the course, simply log in at https://portaal.ggzecademy.nl again, click ‘Starten’ and click the course on your home page. 

Troubleshooting tips

  • Something isn’t working right: Try it again. If it still doesn’t work, try again on another device or another browser
  • I see Dutch text and I don’t understand what it means: many internet browsers have a built-in translate function you can access if you right-click the page and select ‘translate’. This may help you understand what’s going on. 
  • I see nonsensical English text: this can happen when your browser is trying to translate text it shouldn’t be translate. Turn off the translation in your browser.
